Professional skin treatment, chosen with purpose.
At DH Medical, treatments are not selected because they are fashionable.
They are selected because they are appropriate for your skin.
Our treatment menu has been built around some of the most established and widely used professional approaches in advanced skincare, allowing us to address concerns including breakouts, pigmentation, uneven texture, fine lines, dehydration, congestion and loss of radiance.
The treatment itself is only one part of the process.
The most important step is deciding what your skin actually needs.
ADVANCED FACIALS
Professional treatment tailored to your skin.
An advanced facial should do more than simply make the skin feel good for a few hours.
At DH Medical, our facials are designed around the condition of your skin and the concerns you would like to improve.
Treatment may focus on hydration, clarity, radiance, congestion, sensitivity, texture or visible signs of ageing.
The exact combination of professional products and techniques can be adapted according to how the skin presents on the day.
This allows us to treat the skin in front of us rather than following a rigid one-size-fits-all protocol.
Advanced facials can also form an important part of a longer-term treatment plan, helping to maintain skin health between more intensive procedures.
CHEMICAL PEELS
Controlled resurfacing for clearer, smoother-looking skin.
Chemical peels use carefully selected professional exfoliating solutions to encourage controlled skin renewal.
They can be particularly useful when treating concerns such as congestion, uneven tone, dullness, superficial pigmentation, texture and visible signs of ageing.
Not every peel is designed to produce significant peeling.
Modern professional peels can vary considerably in strength and purpose.
The correct treatment is selected according to your skin type, current condition and treatment goals.
For some clients, a gentle progressive approach is most appropriate.
Others may benefit from a more targeted programme over a series of appointments.
Preparation and aftercare are an important part of professional peel treatment.
MICRONEEDLING
Supporting collagen through controlled skin renewal.
Microneedling is an advanced treatment designed to create controlled micro-injuries within the skin.
This stimulates the skin’s natural repair processes and supports the production of collagen and elastin.
It is commonly used to improve the appearance of:
- Uneven texture
- Acne scarring
- Fine lines
- Enlarged-looking pores
- Loss of firmness
- Overall skin quality
Unlike treatments focused primarily on the surface, microneedling works by encouraging a response within the skin itself.
Results develop progressively as the skin renews and remodels.
For this reason, a course of treatment may be recommended where more significant improvement is required.
LED LIGHT THERAPY
Targeted light to support healthier-looking skin.
LED light therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to support different processes within the skin.
It is a non-invasive treatment and can be particularly useful as part of a wider professional skin programme.
Depending on the treatment objective, LED may be used to support:
- Skin recovery
- Calming visible inflammation
- Breakout-prone skin
- Collagen support
- Overall skin health
- Post-treatment recovery
Because there is no exfoliation or resurfacing involved, LED can often be incorporated alongside other treatments.
It can also be useful for clients who want a gentler professional treatment with minimal interruption to their routine.
DERMAPLANING
Precision exfoliation for smoother, brighter-looking skin.
Dermaplaning is a professional exfoliation treatment that uses a sterile blade to carefully remove dead surface skin cells and fine facial hair.
The result is an immediately smoother surface and brighter-looking complexion.
Dermaplaning can be particularly helpful for clients concerned with:
- Surface roughness
- Dullness
- Fine facial hair
- Uneven makeup application
- Mild congestion
- General lack of radiance
The treatment does not change the structure or thickness of facial hair.
Hair simply grows back naturally as it did before.
Dermaplaning can be used as a standalone treatment or incorporated into a more comprehensive facial programme.
COMBINATION SKIN PROGRAMMES
Sometimes one treatment is not the whole answer.
Skin concerns rarely exist in isolation.
A client may experience breakouts alongside pigmentation.
Another may have texture, dehydration and early signs of ageing at the same time.
This is why DH Medical does not believe every treatment journey should revolve around one procedure.
Where appropriate, a programme may combine different professional treatments over time.
For example, a client may begin with treatments designed to stabilise and hydrate the skin before progressing to resurfacing or collagen-stimulating treatment.
Another programme may alternate between professional facials and more advanced procedures.
The sequence matters.
Good treatment planning is about deciding not only what to do, but when to do it.
WHICH TREATMENT IS RIGHT FOR ME?
You do not need to decide before you arrive.
Treatment names can make the process feel more complicated than it needs to be.
You may have read about microneedling.
You may have been recommended a peel.
Or perhaps you simply know that you want to improve pigmentation, breakouts or texture.
That is enough.
Your practitioner can assess your skin, discuss the concern and explain which treatment options are most appropriate.
In some cases, the treatment you originally had in mind may be exactly right.
In others, we may recommend starting somewhere different.
PROFESSIONAL TREATMENT SHOULD BE PROGRESSIVE
The strongest treatment is not always the best treatment.
More intensive does not automatically mean more effective.
A treatment that is too aggressive for the current condition of the skin can create unnecessary irritation and delay progress.
At DH Medical, treatment intensity is selected according to:
- Skin condition
- Skin sensitivity
- Previous treatment experience
- Current homecare
- The concern being treated
- Lifestyle and downtime
- Long-term treatment goals
Where possible, we prefer to build progress rather than chase dramatic short-term reactions.
PREPARATION MATTERS
Better treatment starts before the appointment.
Certain professional treatments benefit from appropriate skin preparation.
This may involve simplifying homecare, introducing specific products, temporarily stopping active ingredients or improving hydration before treatment begins.
Preparation can help the skin tolerate treatment more comfortably and may support a more predictable recovery.
Your practitioner will explain any relevant preparation during your consultation.
AFTERCARE
What happens after treatment is part of the treatment.
Professional procedures can temporarily make the skin more sensitive.
Good aftercare helps support recovery and protects the results achieved.
Depending on the treatment, this may include:
- Gentle cleansing
- Hydration
- Avoiding certain active ingredients temporarily
- Avoiding excessive heat or exercise
- Protecting the skin from sun exposure
- Daily broad-spectrum SPF
Aftercare requirements vary according to the procedure.
Clear guidance will be provided when needed.
RESULTS TAKE DIFFERENT AMOUNTS OF TIME
Some improvements are immediate. Others are built.
A hydrating facial may leave the complexion looking fresher straight away.
Resurfacing treatments may create progressive changes over several weeks.
Collagen-stimulating procedures such as microneedling work more gradually as the skin responds over time.
This is why we are careful about setting expectations.
The right treatment plan should consider both the result you want and how quickly that type of change can realistically occur.
ONE APPOINTMENT OR A COURSE?
The answer depends on the concern.
Some clients want a professional treatment before an event or as part of regular skin maintenance.
Others are working towards improvement in concerns such as pigmentation, scarring, breakouts or texture.
Where a concern requires progressive change, a series of treatments may be more appropriate.
Your plan can be reviewed as the skin responds.
There is no benefit in continuing treatment simply for the sake of completing a predetermined course if the skin requires something different.
TREATMENT AND HOMECARE
The two should work together.
Professional treatment can create significant changes in the skin, but what is used at home has an important influence on maintaining those results.
Homecare may be used to:
- Support hydration
- Manage breakouts
- Encourage healthy cell renewal
- Support pigmentation treatment
- Protect the skin from environmental damage
- Maintain results between appointments
We believe the best routines are purposeful rather than excessive.
A smaller number of appropriate products can often be more effective than a complicated routine that the skin cannot tolerate.
SAFETY FIRST
Not every treatment is appropriate for every person.
Certain medical conditions, medications, skin conditions, pregnancy, recent procedures or active infections can affect whether a treatment is suitable.
This is one of the reasons consultation is an important part of professional skin care.
Where treatment is not appropriate, we will explain why.
Where a concern requires assessment outside the scope of cosmetic treatment, we may recommend that appropriate medical advice is sought before proceeding.
